NEW – October 2025 – Q Group Publications 1976 – 1990!!

Vintage Quants LLC is a loose association of senior and retired investment professionals who want to give something back to today’s and tomorrow’s investment community by building a curated online “public library” of otherwise hard-to-find investment literature. 

We start by making public, with their kind permission, the archives of the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (the Q Group). The archives contain the papers and slides presented, over about the last 20 years, by leading academics and practitioners in investment finance at that organization’s semiannual conferences, which attract some of the world’s top investors. The presenters include Harry Markowitz, William Sharpe, Robert Merton, Jeremy Siegel, and Cliff Asness. These materials cannot be found anywhere else and we are delighted to be able to share them.

We also include more than a hundred articles and other works by the three founders, John Freeman, Ted Aronson, and Larry Siegel. 

We are seeking permission to add the entire library of biweekly essays by the late author and investment manager Peter L. Bernstein, and we continue to look for other materials of comparable quality to add to this website.
